Artist Chuckie Williams

As I was searching for just the right photo of Chuckie, I came across our thick file of letters from Chuckie. I thought this was the best way to show him. Sweet and serious about his art and art selling.

We met Chuckie in about 1996 after having seen his work in a Lousiana exhibit. We loved his stuff and heard he was in Shreveport. Being lovers of Herby-K's and their gumbo, we were quite willing to go search for Chuckie.

Seems he was discovered when i fire broke out in the house next door to his family home. Firemen tried to evacuate Chuckie, but he felt he had millions of $'s worth of paintings in his room and did not want to leave. The local news paper got a shot of his art out on the front lawn; as it was removed to get him to leave the threat of spreading fire.

Wow - do we love his work! We would go visit Chuckie and buy paintings and take him supplies. He lived at home with his Mother, Mary.

It was always fun to see how much Chuckie enjoyed his own paintings and how most everyone looked like his all time favorite - Michael Jackson.

He has since passed years back and we miss his love for painting, but daily enjoy our pieces from him.
