Joe Ely is a famous Texas songwriter/musician from Lubbock, Texas.  
What you might not know about him is that he is also an incredible visual artist.  Joe says that when he left home at the age of 14 and started riding rails, traveling with the circus, and playing music, he could not afford a camera so did drawings.  
This guitar piece is called Songwriter.  We also have a piece about Hank Williams guitar in our exhibit.
Available on this page are autographed copies of Joe's book, "Bonfire of Roadmaps". It's a great book filled with drawings, journal entries, and memories.
