When I was a kid, we would stay a week in the Summer at my Granny’s house and she would take us to the downtown Cooper, Texas Five & Dime store.
We would combine our saved money with the few dollars my Granny would add and head in to find a treasure.

I can easily recall those old wood floors and the wood big table displays. There were the essentials aisles, the candy aisle, the underwear and pajamas aisle, and others,but my beloved surprise aisle was where the treasures which didn’t fit in other categories landed. This is where I usually found my treasure.
